Kyaikhtiyo overview

Difficult to spell, and even more difficult to pronounce, is a small city in Myanmar called Kyaikhtiyo, which is located about half way between the capital of Yangon and the Thai border. Travellers who come to Kyaikhtiyo would mostly be passing through on package tours or on day trips from Yangon. Kyaikhtiyo is home to one of the more interesting sites in Myanmar, which is the Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda. At the Pagoda is the Golden Rock, which seemingly disobeys the laws of gravity and seems to dangle lopsided, as if it were about to slip off the edge of the mountain.
